As you may have noticed, there are commercials now playing before or on our videos.

Why?

We’ve partnered with youtube and monetized our show.

But why?

To the credit of our lovely audience, no one has actually come to me with a complaint but I still feel the need to explain why we’re doing this. 

It’s true, ads are less than fun. And in a perfect world, we wouldn’t need them- but we are a tiny little start-up and there is only so much we can do out of our own pockets. 

And it might allow us to give even a little back to the crazy talented people work on this project completely free of charge. 

Now sometimes I do get lovely messages like this one: 

First of all – it is beyond flattering that any of you even offer this to us. So thank you :) 

Second of all – Yes, we have. And we’ve been working on it for a while, so I am happy to announce that we will be launching an Indiegogo campaign come mid-November! 

And honestly I’ve never been so excited about fundraising. Generally it’s a very stressful activity- but we have some awesome perks lined up as well as some other incentives that I’m really pumped to show you guys :D 

On that note, I can’t tell you why yet, but I have a question for you all- drop your responses below, in my inbox or at me on twitter: 

Do you have any questions for the AoJE cast and/or crew?

I will gladly sit through ads for the sake of AoJE. And if I actually have any money to spare come mid-November, I will gladly use it to support you guys! (Also, I’m curious about the perks.)
