I liked this analysis a lot. I think it’s still a little early to conclude that there won’t be some story eventually. But yeah, it kind of looks that way at this point. Which, for the record, I think is fine if the goals of its creators were to experiment with world-building and fan involvement while delivering a tidbit of a show to bridge the gap until the next big adaptation.
It’s not going to be as engaging or as emotionally compelling as it might have been if it had a story, at least for a passive consumer who doesn’t participate in the RP. But that doesn’t necessarily make it a failure. It just makes it a different kind of thing.
