I think it is interesting to compare the Right’s reaction to this and Fort Hood.
Muslim goes crazy and shoots people=All Muslims are crazy evil Jihadists who are out to get us
Non-Muslim guy goes crazy and shoots people=Oh, he was a lone actor with a mental illness and is in no way representative of a broader group.

I would have thought it would be nice if people would have waited until the funerals were over to start politicizing this but I guess not. Now there are at least 4 Democrat lawmakers that want to use this event to institute the Fairness Doctrine. Can’t beat talk radio, outlaw it, can’t beat Sarah, outlaw what she says. Sad.

I think when a poltician and her supporters are shot, killed and wounded it becomes political almost instantly.
I don’t think anyone wants to “beat” talk radio. Whatever that means. They just want to minimize the nutcase, lying, violence inciting douchebags that are spewing hate and proaganda into the air. Sounds good to me.
And I’m pretty sure Sarah was “beaten” in Nov. 2008.

2008 was just a bump in the road, no one knew who she was a few weeks before the election, now she is the cause of a mass killing by proxy. The left jsut doesn’t have an answer to her.
Beat talk radio, as in win, you know, win. Air America was suposed to beat conservative talk radio, didn’t work, MSNBC was suposed to beat Fox News, didn’t work, the problem is conservative solutions are best discussed in a long format and liberal solutions are best comunicated on a bumper sticker, Republicans seem to lose the bumper sticker issue, and liberals can’t debate their side on many issues for more than a sentence or two. Not all cases of course but generally speaking.

Bumper sticker? Like, “drill baby drill”, “country first” (wtf does that mean), “cut spending” (just don’t ask us how).

They probably aren’t her own words, I’m sure she has speech writers, maybe not. I do think they are heart felt, as heartfelt as Stewart’s. the biggest difference is Stewart isn’t the one being falsely accused and isn’t running for president in two years so he has the luxury of sounding like he is above it all because he is. I think the message in both was the same.
