   Haha, I really fail to understand why Obama supporters are all upset about this cover. C’mon, this is what Stewart and Colbert do for a living. The best way to deflate these ridiculous little conspiracy theories is to just put ’em all together in one image to make it obvious how foolish it all is. It’s hilarious.

   Would these people rather the New Yorker run a picture of Obama eating apple pie with one hand with the other over his flag-pin bedecked heart, bible visible in his coat pocket as he gazes admiringly at the flag and and an assembled group of uniformed troops, bald eagle perched on his shoulder and Michelle standing obsequiously just behind, eyes uplifted?

   And no, I’m not going to create that image for you, jbc.

   Some people are just too sensitive to this kind of thing… on both sides… that is my main criticism of Hannity

   Anyone who knows anything about Obama will see this as a parody of wwnj scare tactics (he’s a mooslim! he’s a trrrrst! he is the wrong color! his wife hates Duhmerkkka! etc etc etc)

   The article is supposed to be good, substantive and worth reading (disclaimer, I haven’t read it). But this picture is all that most people will ever see and it just reinforces the right wing douchebag point of view.

   Hey I know, lets have some fairness! Next NYer cover will be a shot of McBush delivering divorce papers to his first wife while Cindy McBush lounges on a tapped keg of Coors, dressed in a flag bikini, covered in cash. McBush will be wearing his flight uniform, flag lapel pins and a banner that screams I WAS A POW!!!! In the background is a picture of the Forrestal disaster (did he or didn’t he cause that fire? whats his nickname on those wwnj sites? o yeah, “Wet Start” McBush). A copy of the Constitution burns in the fireplace. A portrait of a senile and drooling Saint Reagan leers from above the mantel.

   Did I miss anything?

   he was in the plane next to the plane that was hit on the Forrestal. I don’t think you missed anything, and guess what, that would just be a silly parody too. It’s the political season. I would get as big a chuckle out of your cartoon and take it as seriously as this cartoon.

   See the problem with that is the majority of the McCain items are actually true (I threw the Forestal thing in there just for fun, tho the big question is why was McCain evacuated on the first heli out? to keep the rest of the crew from killing him for his hotdog wet start stunt?)

   None of this Obama stuff is true (except the fist bump).

   Next up: Obama is a monkey!
