		<description>Now if we can find an intellectually honest, rational Democrat to match him with, there might be bipartisan progress. Maybe Joe Lieberman? Oh, wait I guess he's been forced into running as an Independent. Intellectually honest, rational, Democrat; you can still pick any two.
  As for Brooks' comments, for years the Dems have been saying Bush has shown no flexibility in Iraq and denying all the progress outside of Baghdad, while their only suggestion has been to yell "put it in reverse" since the time they agreed to get on the highway. Now at the first sign of a turn in the road, its considered uncontrollable swerving. The fear is understandable, given that the last time Democrats were driving in a wartime situation (late 60's), they pointed the car off the bridge, stepped out and left others to deal with the mess.</description>
