BAGnewsNotes on Laura’s Approach-Avoidance Behavior with Katrina Victims

Here’s a good example of the kind of BAGnewsNotes piece I was talking about the other day. On first glance, I look at the photos and think, hm, I’m not sure there’s any there there. But then I read the analysis, and look at the images again, and I have to say, huh, yeah, I think you’ve got a point.

Damn you clinical psychologists with your insightful analysis of seemingly innocuous phenomena!

Anyway: Laura: Just say N.O.

Regardless of whether this “professional” said anything good, bad, or indifferent, analysis without context (with a healthy mix of personal political bias) makes his assessments not much more insightful or accurate than anyone elses. This guy’s schtick would be funny if it wasn’t so irresponsible toward actual serious clinical practice. But I guess his perceived validity comes down to whether one agrees with his “analysis”.

It’s probably something that’s done unconciously by Laura, much like her mother-in-law’s comment about “their better off now anyway”. These people just have a total disconnect with reality and it’s not even funny anymore.

I even heard Bill O’Reilly of all people point that out the other day when he said, “Lady, you have been wealthy for far too long”. (talking about Barb)

I’ve been reading a bunch of blogs tonight. I’m beginning to think everyone reads the internet for education. What happened to books? Hardly anything is validated on the internet. Those pictures were ridiculous, as was the analysis. If you’ve ever taken a photography class you can learn how to make things appear as they are not. I learned that when I was fifteen. The white house should fire that photographer. Did it ever occur to that guy that maybe Laura was talking to both of those ladies and the photographer happened to take the picture when she was talking/listening to one and touching the other. Ridiculous and uneducated.
