The Ongoing War on (Comment Spam) Terror
Just a heads up for those of you who post to the site: I’m playing around with different tools to block comment spam, and unfortunately the latest one I’ve tried is having the effect of blocking some legitimate comments.
Currently, the spam-blocking code is silently discarding any comments posted by a browser that doesn’t have javascript enabled. That has succeeded (for the moment) where nothing else had in stopping the steady drip, drip, drip of comment spams we’d been getting, at a rate of about one every 90 seconds for the past week or so. But I see from the report the anti-spam tool just emailed me that a number of people have tried posting legitimate comments, and had that process fail.
This isn’t acceptable to me. So I’ll be heading back to the drawing board to come up with a solution. In the meantime, if you are using a funky browser, or have javascript disabled, I apologize for the inconvenience, but at the moment, you can’t post comments.

no seriously, anytime I get email spam i respond with a rude letter (even ruder than anything i’ve ever said around here) threatening a lawsuit if the spam continues. thus I get very little spam after awhile.

CAIR, you know what will happen to muslims that work for organizations like CAIR after the next big attack
against America by muslims, you will be rounded-up and put in concentrations camps the way the Germans and
Japanese were in America during WWII (and the way Jews were in Germany) There is talk of it now, wait and see.
You will be sent out west, you will eat internal organs from cows, pigs,and chickens, they will be mixed together
to make hotdogs and lunchmeat. You will eat it or starve to death. You will wish you never heard of islamm.

Islamic nations rank as the least free, least prosperous, and least enlightened places on earth. One fifth of the
world’s population is responsible for over four fifths of the world’s armed conflicts. In life, Muslims are
damned by a false prophet. In death, a demonic spirit claims their soul. And they do not suffer alone. Terror is
the legacy of Islam. The central-control, universal-conditioning experiment has been run in Nazi, Communist, and
Islamic nations, always with the same result. All things we hold dear are eliminated: prosperity, liberty,
justice, opportunity, and peace. Yet such nations always seem to develop the perfect culture in which to breed
killers. And that isn’t easy. To corrupt men to the point that they believe it’s good to murder innocent people
takes a total commitment. Schools, mosques, party councils, courtrooms, meeting halls, and media outlets must
work in harmony with a singular state religotic to deceive the masses on this massive scale. The masses are
discounted, emasculated, indoctrinated, and conditioned to serve the few. The victors call themselves cleric and
king, comrade and secretary general. Ultimately, good men are made bad. Deceived, they plunder and kill. They
mutilate and terrorize; they rob, enslave, and destroy. And they continue to do these things until someone who
hasn’t been victimized, who still knows freedom, cares enough to expose them. ( ISLAM IS EXPOSE ) there is
someone with a microphone or a bully pulpit who is willing to step outside the line and reveal Islam’s sinister
and violent nature. Islam will continue to poison its faithful and deceive its foes until the planet is embroiled
in World War. That is what it was born to do. And while we could stop it, we won’t. All of us could make the
right choice; we could discard that which is false and rely on that which is true. But not enough of us are going
to make the right call to make a difference. Allah leads men astray; he seals hearts, blinds eyes, and plots
against human kind. He is depicted interrogating and torturing the inhabitants of hell, a place created for his
entertainment. Humans are turned on a spit and given fresh skin each time one burns off so that the torment might
be eternal. Allah pours boiling water down our throats, makes us eat pitch and thorns. And this painful
punishment isn’t for the few but for the many. Only one in a thousand avoids being tortured. Yet even they go to
a place of decadence—a four-star brothel with the best foods, free-flowing wine, and virginal attendants. Allah
loves warriors; he craves death and destruction. He brags about his participation in terror, mass murder, the
enslavement of women and children, and thievery. Allah claims booty is lawful and good. Unable to give Muslims a
reason to live, Allah gave them a reason to die. And as evil as the Islamic “god” is, his prophet was worse. His
resume reads: demon possession, suicidal, bearing false witness, hate speech, taking and offering bribes,
pedophile, terrorism, piracy, slave trading, incest, rape, torture, genocide, warmongering, plagiarism,
womanizing, sexism—well, you know the list. Muhammad was hardly a model citizen. But worst of all, Allah and
Muhammad prohibit choice. Qur’an’s last score of surahs is simply: submit and obey, perform and pay, fight and
slay. It’s no wonder Islam has bred hell on earth. Muslims are unable to rise above the depraved character of
their prophet and god. And those who do are killed. If you were a bad Muslim you know the truth. Muhammad was the
most evil man who ever lived. Allah was the most demonic god ever conceived. The Qur’an was the nastiest book
ever written. Islam was the most hateful and violent fraud ever perpetrated on humankind. The path to damnation
has been revealed. As a former Muslim you are free of the deceptions that have led you astray. You probably feel
dirty, like your soul needs a good scrubbing. You’ve got to feel lonely, isolated, afraid. Allah orders Muslims
to kill renegades. Rejecting Islam takes courage. Peace, love and freedom, is the only hope for mankind. Choice!
Ultimately, that’s all that really matters. Not good deeds, certainly not jihad, not prayer, ritual, religion,
fear, fasting, pilgrimages, taxes, or prophets.“God, I’m a sinner. Thank you for sacrificing yourself so that I

This attack is just one more crime by a Muslim in Europe. It’s viewed as an isolated incident. Europe wake up.
The man was killed for his speech. He was killed for his art. It offended Islamic culture by portraying the

The tide is turning. Please take note that even Spiegel Online is saying thing like this: “Auch Linke und

European Leftists are starting to find out that Islamic hate does not spare them. German feminist-leftist Alice
Schwarzer has started campaigns against the Islamic treatment of women and against those nonmuslims who whitewash
Islam’s backward aspects. Other leftists have noticed the parallels between Islamic ideology and Nazism.
There is still hope for the left. Just keep on confronting them with reality and sooner or later at least some of
them will understand.

A HATE CRIME IN JERSEY CITY HEIGHTS

Have you read about that Egyptian Christian family of four murdered in Jersey City Heights two days ago?
The New York Post reports today that the father was an outspoken critic of Islamists:
Hossam Armanious, 47, who along with his wife and two daughters was found stabbed to death in his Jersey City
home early Friday, would regularly debate religion in a Middle Eastern chat room, one source said.
Armanious, an Egyptian Christian, was well known for expressing his Coptic beliefs and engaging in fiery back-
and-forth with Muslims on the Web site paltalk.com.
He “had the reputation for being one of the most outspoken Egyptian Christians,” said the source, who had close
ties to the family.
The source, who had knowledge of the investigation, refused to specify the anti-Muslim statement. But he said
cops told him they were looking into the exchanges as a possible motive.
The married father of two had recently been threatened by Muslim members of the Web site, said a fellow Copt and
store clerk who uses the chat room.
“You’d better stop this bull—- or we are going to track you down like a chicken and kill you,” was the threat,
said the clerk, who was online at the time and saw the exchange…
Armanious’ fervor apparently rubbed off on his daughter, Sylvia ? who would have turned 16 yesterday. “She was
very religious and very opinionated,” said Jessica Cimino, 15, a fellow sophomore at Dickenson HS.
A family member who viewed photos of the bloodbath said Sylvia seemed to have taken the most savage punishment.
“When we saw the pictures, you could tell that they were hurt really, really bad in the face; especially Sylvia,”
said Milad Garas, the high-school sophomore’s great-uncle.
the heartless killer not only slit Sylvia’s throat, but also sliced a huge gash in her chest and stabbed her in
the wrist, where she had a tattoo of a Coptic cross.
Muslims are just hateful people, that’s why they are supposedly hated the most. They hate everyone and you! They
hate Americans simply because we have freedom and we support the ‘land of the jews’, Israel. They hate Jews
because Jews have created a paradise out of wasteland! Oh and because Jews have mounted a strong army and defense
system which is unparalleled to anything Arab countries could ever hope to create! (I have a question, it looks

you can ask that question even to a 3 year old who is a Muslim. we hate Jews because they swear words to Allah
(God). they kill infants just because they are Muslims, they don’t allow Muslims to even pray at their mosques,
they kill family members of a any Muslim family, they break homes, and most of all their religion is against
ours. that’s why if you ever traveled to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, U.A.E., and Oman, Jews and Israelis
are forbidden to enter their lands from how much we gulf people hate them. If you ever walk down the streets of
Kuwait you can hear children at the age of probably 6 or 7 swearing to jews and promising that when they grow up
they would kill them. We teenage ARABIAN MUSLIMS try to threaten any Western people in our land so that they leave
us alone. already there are teenagers at my school who have injured our teachers (they’re Americans +Christians).
some teachers quit some teachers never show up. at the Elementary section in our school I find 3rd graders
talking back to their teachers and spitting on them to give them respect! imagine a 3rd grade Muslim CHILD wants
respect from a 38 year old teacher! So how do you think that child will grow up? how much of the hatred will

Muslims hate non-Muslims because the Koran tells them Allah hates non-Muslims and they should to. The Koran is
perverse in all aspects, and that is why Muslims will never be able to live in harmony with the rest of the
world. 1. Because unbelievers do not accept Islam, Allah hates them and does not guide them: You have a good
example in Abraham and those who followed him. They said to their people: ‘We disown you and the idols which you
worship besides Allah. We renounce you: enmity and hate shall reign between us until you believe in Allah
only.”…. Sura 60:4 Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. They are friends with
one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number. Allah does not guide the
wrongdoers. Sura 5:51 Now here’s the rub – the Koran does share many of the moral rules of the Bible. Although
the Koran says moral rules like don’t kill and don’t steal only apply between Muslims – Muslims can kill non-
Muslims, take the property of non-Muslims as tribute (called Jizya, this was the cause of the Barbary Pirate War
in the early 19th century), take their wives, or make non-Muslims slaves . Sounds like Allah does a little
hateing. Do you hate every one too?

Why do they hate America?(an Islamic point of View)

A glimpse of the horror that took place Tuesday morning. A day of fear, loss, grief and anger. A tragedy for our
entire community Muslim and non-Muslim.
We found ourselves trying to understand, to reason, to come to grips with sights and sounds coming in over the
airwaves. But how could a disaster so immense, so unexpected, so grave – be understood ?! ……..
Who could have committed such evil? What kind of soul could perpetrate such hatred?
As news came out it was clear. The blame would be placed squarely at the feat of America’s Great Satan: Saudi
dissident Osama bin Laden.
Calls for restraint and care were drowned out by the lust, though understandable, for revenge. The bearded,
sweaty terrorists of every Americans worst nightmare were brought to the fore. It was simple, the enemy was one,
the enemy was us (Muslims).
But whoever the perpetrator, whoever is ultimately responsible, we must ask ourselves, “Where in the human soul
lay the source of such hatred?” “What could produce such utter desperation and disregard for life?”
Without doubt. Tuesday’s events didn’t appear out of a vacuum. We can never justify or rationalize such a
tragedy, but we must attempt to understand WHY !
Yesterday, I discussed this with a teacher. She also though that obscuring the lessons of this tragedy with
labels and oversimplifications would only increase the loss.
The reality is that Tuesday’s tragedy, a reprehensible crime against humanity, is an expressions of years of pent
up frustration, despair, anger and resentment against the United States.
To call the attackers ‘crazy’, ‘senseless’, or ‘mindless’ is to miss the point. The attackers must have been
anything but. To lost sight of the context out of which such hatred could flow is to only set the stage for
greater tragedies.
If we allow ourselves the easy option of dehumanizing the attackers in our minds, as they must have dehumanized
their victims before they ended their lives, then we aid and escalate the cycle of reciprocal violence and lead
humanity to darkness beyond imagination.
Were the attackers really so much different than the average American? Retired General Norman Schwartzkopf seemed
to think so.
In a recent televised interview he said, “In Iraq we went to great length to avoid civilian casualties .. but
these bastardy went after civilians. That’s the difference between us and them.”
But is this the truth, or is this what we’d like be believe about ourselves? In a mid-nineteen nineties
interview, CBS Reporter Lesley Stahl questioned the then US Ambassador to the UN, Madeleine Albright, on the
post-war sanctions against Iraq :
We have heard that a HALF MILLION CHILDREN HAVE DIED. I mean, That’s more children that died in HIROSHIMA. And –
and you know, is the price worth it?”
Albright’s reply, “I think this is very hard choice, BUT THAT PRICE – WE THINK THE PRICE IS WORTH IT.”
Stahl won both an Emmy and a Dupont-Columbia journalism award for this report, but Albright’s comment went
virtually unremarked in the U.S. ( Though it received considerable attention in the Middle East). Within six

months, Madeleine Albright was unanimously approved by the Senate as U.S. Secretary of State.
Price? Price? A heavy and grave price indeed that lives of FIVE HUNDRED THOUSANDS INNOCENT CHILDREN each with
dreams and hopes of their own. Aspirations for their young lives. Laughing and loving sweet things and comfort.
Loving play and being naughty just like American children.
How could we (as Americans) allow ourselves to be silent while they died? Did we turn our eyes from their
humanity and worth? Did we not indeed commit an unimaginable atrocity? ARE WE REALLY ANY DIFFERENT THAN THE
PERPETRATOR OF TUESDAYS ATTACK?
THEY CRIED TO THEIR MOTHERS FOR FOOD AND COMFORT. Mothers who could do nothing but tell them who had done this to
them. Telling them WHO HAD BEEN RESPONSIBLE for the pains in their stomachs.
What would you do if this was how your little one had died? What would you be capable of?
But America told the world that deformities the disease and death were ‘WORTH THE PRICE’. No, these children were
raised not on milk, BUT ON THE BREAST OF BURNING HATE. Waiting to express itself in an unthinkable explosion of
revenge and vindication.
But let there be no question in the minds of our neighbors, coworkers and friends – The Muslim community STANDS
WITH YOU IN CONDEMNATION OF THIS OFFENSE against you. AS WE STAND WITH THE CHILDREN OF IRAQ. AS WE STAND WITH THE
DISPOSSESSED OF PALESTINE. As we stand with all who have been wronged.
Many of us know all too well the taste of lives lost. Ones whom we loved. Ones for whom we cried tears. Ones
whose joy and laughter we miss so dearly.
Robert Fisk, a well known reporter in the Independent wrote a report towards understanding this tragedy. He said
” … And yes, Osama bin Ladin comes to mind, his money, his theology, his frightening dedication to destroy
American power. I have sat in front of bin Laden as he described how his men helped to destroy the Russian army
in Afghanistan and thus the Soviet Union. Their boundless confidence allowed them to declare war on America. BUT
THIS IS NOT THE WAR OF DEMOCRACY VERSES TERROR THAT THE WORLD WILL BE ASKED TO BELIEVE IN THE COMING DAYS. It is
also about American missiles smashing into Palestinian homes and US helicopters firing missiles into a Lebanese
ambulance in 1996 and AMERICAN SHELLS CRASHING IN VILLAGE CALLED QANA and about a Lebanese militia paid and
uniformed by America’s Israeli ally hacking and raping and murdering their way through refugee camps …
… And there will be, inevitably, and quite immorally, an attempt to obscure the historical wrongs and the
injustices that lie behind yesterday’s firestorms. We will be told about “mindless terrorism”, the “mindless” bit
being essential if we are not to realize how hated America has become in the land of the birth of three great
religions.
Ask an Arab how he responds to 20,000 or 30,000 innocent deaths and he or she will respond as decent people
should, that it is an unspeakable crime. But they will ask why WE DID NOT USE SUCH WORDS ABOUT THE SANCTIONS THAT
HAVE DESTROYED THE LIVES PERHAPS HALF A MILLION CHILDREN IN IRAQ, WHY WE DID NOT RAGE ABOUT THE SEVENTEEN
THOUSANDS CIVILIANS KILLED IN ISRAEL’S 1982 INVASION OF LEBANON. And those basic reasons why the Middle East
caught fire last September the Israeli occupation of Arab land, the dispossession of Palestinians, the
bombardments and state-sponsored executions .. all these must be obscured lest they provide the smallest
fractional reason for yesterday’s mass savagery. Eight years ago, I helped to make a television series that tried to explain why so many Muslims had come to hate the West. Last night, I remembered some of those Muslims in that film, their families burnt by American-made bombs and weapons. They talked about how no one would help them but God. Theology versus technology, the suicide bomber against the nuclear power. Now we have learnt what this means”So what are the lessons to be learned from this great disaster? We must work towards greater mutual understanding. We must listen to each other. We must humanize one another, and this cannot be done at a distance. We cannot afford let bombs teach this moment. Are we not all God’s creatures? Do we not all have stomachs, feel cold, feel pain, and need comfort? Do we not all deserve to be secure from harm and dispossession? It is imperative that the Muslims join together as one, for it is through this joining that the Almighty and Wise
shall make us strong. It’s them imperative that we set our course unto spreading understanding and Mercy. And
neutralizing enmity, hate and ignorance.

Islamic nations rank as the least free, least prosperous, and least enlightened places on earth. One fifth of the
world’s population is responsible for over four fifths of the world’s armed conflicts. In life, Muslims are
damned by a false prophet. In death, a demonic spirit claims their soul. And they do not suffer alone. Terror is
the legacy of Islam. The central-control, universal-conditioning experiment has been run in Nazi, Communist, and
Islamic nations, always with the same result. All things we hold dear are eliminated: prosperity, liberty,
justice, opportunity, and peace. Yet such nations always seem to develop the perfect culture in which to breed
killers. And that isn’t easy. To corrupt men to the point that they believe it’s good to murder innocent people
takes a total commitment. Schools, mosques, party councils, courtrooms, meeting halls, and media outlets must
work in harmony with a singular state religotic to deceive the masses on this massive scale. The masses are
discounted, emasculated, indoctrinated, and conditioned to serve the few. The victors call themselves cleric and
king, comrade and secretary general. Ultimately, good men are made bad. Deceived, they plunder and kill. They
mutilate and terrorize; they rob, enslave, and destroy. And they continue to do these things until someone who
hasn’t been victimized, who still knows freedom, cares enough to expose them. ( ISLAM IS EXPOSE ) there is
someone with a microphone or a bully pulpit who is willing to step outside the line and reveal Islam’s sinister
and violent nature. Islam will continue to poison its faithful and deceive its foes until the planet is embroiled
in World War. That is what it was born to do. And while we could stop it, we won’t. All of us could make the
right choice; we could discard that which is false and rely on that which is true. But not enough of us are going
to make the right call to make a difference. Allah leads men astray; he seals hearts, blinds eyes, and plots
against human kind. He is depicted interrogating and torturing the inhabitants of hell, a place created for his
entertainment. Humans are turned on a spit and given fresh skin each time one burns off so that the torment might
be eternal. Allah pours boiling water down our throats, makes us eat pitch and thorns. And this painful
punishment isn’t for the few but for the many. Only one in a thousand avoids being tortured. Yet even they go to
a place of decadence—a four-star brothel with the best foods, free-flowing wine, and virginal attendants. Allah
loves warriors; he craves death and destruction. He brags about his participation in terror, mass murder, the
enslavement of women and children, and thievery. Allah claims booty is lawful and good. Unable to give Muslims a
reason to live, Allah gave them a reason to die. And as evil as the Islamic “god” is, his prophet was worse. His
resume reads: demon possession, suicidal, bearing false witness, hate speech, taking and offering bribes,
pedophile, terrorism, piracy, slave trading, incest, rape, torture, genocide, warmongering, plagiarism,
womanizing, sexism—well, you know the list. Muhammad was hardly a model citizen. But worst of all, Allah and
Muhammad prohibit choice. Qur’an’s last score of surahs is simply: submit and obey, perform and pay, fight and
slay. It’s no wonder Islam has bred hell on earth. Muslims are unable to rise above the depraved character of
their prophet and god. And those who do are killed. If you were a bad Muslim you know the truth. Muhammad was the
most evil man who ever lived. Allah was the most demonic god ever conceived. The Qur’an was the nastiest book
ever written. Islam was the most hateful and violent fraud ever perpetrated on humankind. The path to damnation
has been revealed. As a former Muslim you are free of the deceptions that have led you astray. You probably feel
dirty, like your soul needs a good scrubbing. You’ve got to feel lonely, isolated, afraid. Allah orders Muslims
to kill renegades. Rejecting Islam takes courage. Peace, love and freedom, is the only hope for mankind. Choice!
Ultimately, that’s all that really matters. Not good deeds, certainly not jihad, not prayer, ritual, religion,

European Leftists are starting to find out that Islamic hate does not spare them. German feminist-leftist Alice
Schwarzer has started campaigns against the Islamic treatment of women and against those nonmuslims who whitewash
Islam’s backward aspects. Other leftists have noticed the parallels between Islamic ideology and Nazism.

Have you read about that Egyptian Christian family of four murdered in Jersey City Heights two days ago?
The New York Post reports today that the father was an outspoken critic of Islamists:
Hossam Armanious, 47, who along with his wife and two daughters was found stabbed to death in his Jersey City
home early Friday, would regularly debate religion in a Middle Eastern chat room, one source said.
Armanious, an Egyptian Christian, was well known for expressing his Coptic beliefs and engaging in fiery back-
and-forth with Muslims on the Web site paltalk.com.
He “had the reputation for being one of the most outspoken Egyptian Christians,” said the source, who had close
ties to the family.
The source, who had knowledge of the investigation, refused to specify the anti-Muslim statement. But he said
cops told him they were looking into the exchanges as a possible motive.
The married father of two had recently been threatened by Muslim members of the Web site, said a fellow Copt and
store clerk who uses the chat room.
“You’d better stop this bull—- or we are going to track you down like a chicken and kill you,” was the threat,
said the clerk, who was online at the time and saw the exchange…
Armanious’ fervor apparently rubbed off on his daughter, Sylvia ? who would have turned 16 yesterday. “She was
very religious and very opinionated,” said Jessica Cimino, 15, a fellow sophomore at Dickenson HS.
A family member who viewed photos of the bloodbath said Sylvia seemed to have taken the most savage punishment.
“When we saw the pictures, you could tell that they were hurt really, really bad in the face; especially Sylvia,”
said Milad Garas, the high-school sophomore’s great-uncle.
the heartless killer not only slit Sylvia’s throat, but also sliced a huge gash in her chest and stabbed her in
the wrist, where she had a tattoo of a Coptic cross.
Muslims are just hateful people, that’s why they are supposedly hated the most. They hate everyone and you! They

you can ask that question even to a 3 year old who is a Muslim. we hate Jews because they swear words to Allah
(God). they kill infants just because they are Muslims, they don’t allow Muslims to even pray at their mosques,
they kill family members of a any Muslim family, they break homes, and most of all their religion is against
ours. that’s why if you ever traveled to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, U.A.E., and Oman, Jews and Israelis
are forbidden to enter their lands from how much we gulf people hate them. If you ever walk down the streets of
Kuwait you can hear children at the age of probably 6 or 7 swearing to jews and promising that when they grow up
they would kill them. We teenage ARABIAN MUSLIMS try to threaten any Western people in our land so that they leave
us alone. already there are teenagers at my school who have injured our teachers (they’re Americans +Christians).
some teachers quit some teachers never show up. at the Elementary section in our school I find 3rd graders

Muslims hate non-Muslims because the Koran tells them Allah hates non-Muslims and they should to. The Koran is
perverse in all aspects, and that is why Muslims will never be able to live in harmony with the rest of the

the Koran says moral rules like don’t kill and don’t steal only apply between Muslims – Muslims can kill non-
Muslims, take the property of non-Muslims as tribute (called Jizya, this was the cause of the Barbary Pirate War
in the early 19th century), take their wives, or make non-Muslims slaves . Sounds like Allah does a little
hateing. Do you hate every one too?

A glimpse of the horror that took place Tuesday morning. A day of fear, loss, grief and anger. A tragedy for our
entire community Muslim and non-Muslim.
We found ourselves trying to understand, to reason, to come to grips with sights and sounds coming in over the
airwaves. But how could a disaster so immense, so unexpected, so grave – be understood ?! ……..
Who could have committed such evil? What kind of soul could perpetrate such hatred?
As news came out it was clear. The blame would be placed squarely at the feat of America’s Great Satan: Saudi
dissident Osama bin Laden.
Calls for restraint and care were drowned out by the lust, though understandable, for revenge. The bearded,
sweaty terrorists of every Americans worst nightmare were brought to the fore. It was simple, the enemy was one,
the enemy was us (Muslims).
But whoever the perpetrator, whoever is ultimately responsible, we must ask ourselves, “Where in the human soul
lay the source of such hatred?” “What could produce such utter desperation and disregard for life?”
Without doubt. Tuesday’s events didn’t appear out of a vacuum. We can never justify or rationalize such a
tragedy, but we must attempt to understand WHY !
Yesterday, I discussed this with a teacher. She also though that obscuring the lessons of this tragedy with
labels and oversimplifications would only increase the loss.
The reality is that Tuesday’s tragedy, a reprehensible crime against humanity, is an expressions of years of pent
up frustration, despair, anger and resentment against the United States.
To call the attackers ‘crazy’, ‘senseless’, or ‘mindless’ is to miss the point. The attackers must have been
anything but. To lost sight of the context out of which such hatred could flow is to only set the stage for
greater tragedies.
If we allow ourselves the easy option of dehumanizing the attackers in our minds, as they must have dehumanized
their victims before they ended their lives, then we aid and escalate the cycle of reciprocal violence and lead
humanity to darkness beyond imagination.
Were the attackers really so much different than the average American? Retired General Norman Schwartzkopf seemed
to think so.
In a recent televised interview he said, “In Iraq we went to great length to avoid civilian casualties .. but
these bastardy went after civilians. That’s the difference between us and them.”
But is this the truth, or is this what we’d like be believe about ourselves? In a mid-nineteen nineties
interview, CBS Reporter Lesley Stahl questioned the then US Ambassador to the UN, Madeleine Albright, on the
post-war sanctions against Iraq :
We have heard that a HALF MILLION CHILDREN HAVE DIED. I mean, That’s more children that died in HIROSHIMA. And –
and you know, is the price worth it?”
Albright’s reply, “I think this is very hard choice, BUT THAT PRICE – WE THINK THE PRICE IS WORTH IT.”
Stahl won both an Emmy and a Dupont-Columbia journalism award for this report, but Albright’s comment went
virtually unremarked in the U.S. ( Though it received considerable attention in the Middle East). Within six

How could we (as Americans) allow ourselves to be silent while they died? Did we turn our eyes from their
humanity and worth? Did we not indeed commit an unimaginable atrocity? ARE WE REALLY ANY DIFFERENT THAN THE
PERPETRATOR OF TUESDAYS ATTACK?
THEY CRIED TO THEIR MOTHERS FOR FOOD AND COMFORT. Mothers who could do nothing but tell them who had done this to
them. Telling them WHO HAD BEEN RESPONSIBLE for the pains in their stomachs.
What would you do if this was how your little one had died? What would you be capable of?
But America told the world that deformities the disease and death were ‘WORTH THE PRICE’. No, these children were
raised not on milk, BUT ON THE BREAST OF BURNING HATE. Waiting to express itself in an unthinkable explosion of
revenge and vindication.
But let there be no question in the minds of our neighbors, coworkers and friends – The Muslim community STANDS
WITH YOU IN CONDEMNATION OF THIS OFFENSE against you. AS WE STAND WITH THE CHILDREN OF IRAQ. AS WE STAND WITH THE
DISPOSSESSED OF PALESTINE. As we stand with all who have been wronged.
Many of us know all too well the taste of lives lost. Ones whom we loved. Ones for whom we cried tears. Ones
whose joy and laughter we miss so dearly.
Robert Fisk, a well known reporter in the Independent wrote a report towards understanding this tragedy. He said
” … And yes, Osama bin Ladin comes to mind, his money, his theology, his frightening dedication to destroy
American power. I have sat in front of bin Laden as he described how his men helped to destroy the Russian army
in Afghanistan and thus the Soviet Union. Their boundless confidence allowed them to declare war on America. BUT
THIS IS NOT THE WAR OF DEMOCRACY VERSES TERROR THAT THE WORLD WILL BE ASKED TO BELIEVE IN THE COMING DAYS. It is
also about American missiles smashing into Palestinian homes and US helicopters firing missiles into a Lebanese
ambulance in 1996 and AMERICAN SHELLS CRASHING IN VILLAGE CALLED QANA and about a Lebanese militia paid and
uniformed by America’s Israeli ally hacking and raping and murdering their way through refugee camps …
… And there will be, inevitably, and quite immorally, an attempt to obscure the historical wrongs and the
injustices that lie behind yesterday’s firestorms. We will be told about “mindless terrorism”, the “mindless” bit
being essential if we are not to realize how hated America has become in the land of the birth of three great
religions.
Ask an Arab how he responds to 20,000 or 30,000 innocent deaths and he or she will respond as decent people
should, that it is an unspeakable crime. But they will ask why WE DID NOT USE SUCH WORDS ABOUT THE SANCTIONS THAT
HAVE DESTROYED THE LIVES PERHAPS HALF A MILLION CHILDREN IN IRAQ, WHY WE DID NOT RAGE ABOUT THE SEVENTEEN
THOUSANDS CIVILIANS KILLED IN ISRAEL’S 1982 INVASION OF LEBANON. And those basic reasons why the Middle East
caught fire last September the Israeli occupation of Arab land, the dispossession of Palestinians, the
bombardments and state-sponsored executions .. all these must be obscured lest they provide the smallest
fractional reason for yesterday’s mass savagery. Eight years ago, I helped to make a television series that tried to explain why so many Muslims had come to hate the West. Last night, I remembered some of those Muslims in that film, their families burnt by American-made bombs and weapons. They talked about how no one would help them but God. Theology versus technology, the suicide bomber against the nuclear power. Now we have learnt what this means”So what are the lessons to be learned from this great disaster? We must work towards greater mutual understanding. We must listen to each other. We must humanize one another, and this cannot be done at a distance. We cannot afford let bombs teach this moment. Are we not all God’s creatures? Do we not all have stomachs, feel cold, feel pain, and need comfort? Do we not all deserve to be secure from harm and dispossession? It is imperative that the Muslims join together as one, for it is through this joining that the Almighty and Wise
shall make us strong. It’s them imperative that we set our course unto spreading understanding and Mercy. And
neutralizing enmity, hate and ignorance.

It would be useful to have a search feature that lets one search for posts by individuals. You could type in “Craig” for example and see a list of links to all the articles Craig has posted to.
(that way I could make sure nobody’s asked me a question I haven’t been around to answer on an old thread)
