Bush Gives Protesters the Finger

At the front of this second bus was The W himself, waving cheerily at his supporters on the other side of the highway. Adam, Brendan, and I rose our banner (the More Trees, Less Bush one) and he turned to wave to our side of the road. His smile faded, and he raised his left arm in our direction. And then, George W. Bush, the 43rd president of the United States of America, extended his middle finger.
Read that last sentence again.
I got flipped off by George W. Bush.A ponytailed man standing next to us confirmed the event, saying, “I do believe the President of the U.S. just gave you boys the finger.” We laughed probably for the next half hour, and promptly told everyone we knew.
Heh. I still think Bush is toast in November, but this could help him get back into it. I mean, in an alternate universe, I could even imagine me voting for someone willing to do that.

Back on August 8, 1982, Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau flipped off a bunch of Western protestors who were disrupting his vacation. It was huge news, and is still remembered today. I wonder if this will get any coverage in the US press…

That is so wild because I JUST got done reading about John Kerry doing the same to some heckler at the Vietnam Wall on Memorial Day…..Dick Cheney is inviting people to engage in sexual intercourse in the most vulgar terms on the floor of the Senate….What’s next, John Edwards mooning a group of reporters? I’ve never been under the illusion that the people that occupy the White House are saints or moral barometers. I’ve heard the Nixon tapes, Johnson’s rants, and read about Kennedy’s fondness for the well place swearing. But God, keep you’re head on you when you’re in public. Especially, giving the finger. Just waive and smile. It’s not reassuring if your getting so rattled that you whip the bird. Show some composure for God’s Sake.

I would agree, but I did not see any picture of the president actually doing this. it is dangerous to accuse him without evidence, right? I dont trust anyone without evidence and/or proof. Let’s not take this too far. Did he do it? Show me. These rants are undermining the anti-Bush administration cause…

People are dumb, but they are not THAT DUMB. Think folks the president is running for a re-election so of course in this day & age of digital everything (including cell phone that take pictures)do you really expect us to believe he would flip you off on a simple bait. Hey I am not saying he didnt want to do it. But c’mon this is the same guy that 4 yrs earlier got into hot water for calling a reporter an “FUCKING ASSHOLE” and did’nt relize he had a hot mike. So tell me why he would risk major PR damage over you. I thank you for your time in reading this, but sir I believe your lying to us.

I watched a short video in which Bush, a few years ago I think, gave the finger to some camera men. I was not impressed. He really looked a twisted immature individual, not quite statesman-like.
