Some people read an article like this and think: “Stupid birds.” Other people think: “There goes mankind, messing up the environment and indirectly killing off a species”.
I read it and thought: “This is fucking hilarious!” …

As to your “Which kind of person are you? question – all of the above. Yes, we messed up the environment ( overfishing) forcing birds to look elsewhere, yes, they are stupid birds, and yes, it’s fucking hillarious.

We must divert the water towards these roads and mirages to save the brown pelicans.
Laughing at some poor pelican swooping down on non existent fish in mirage lakes is not funny. The entire vision of them flying flat out bill first into hot asphalt just isn’t funny.
No. No it isn’t. You are a bad person and the pelicans now know it. Don’t go to the beach.
