Krugman Rips Those Ripping Dean

A really fabulous piece from Paul Krugman: Who’s Nader now? Seriously, Lieberman and Kerry are pissing me off with this Dean-bashing. Krugman puts it well: “The irony is that by seeking to undermine the election prospects of a man who may well be their party’s nominee, Mr. Lieberman and Mr. Kerry have reminded us of why their once-promising campaigns imploded.”

Kerry made me mad in the debate today when he said to Dean, “You said that the president of the United States had prior warning about Sept. 11. You get it off the Internet; you passed it on on national television.” That’s of course not at all what Dean said, but things like that linger.

It’s funny how they all say they’re trying to run a positive campaign, but can’t say a word about their own ideas without also simultaneously dragging Dean unfairly through the mud. Goobers.

Krugman also put it well when he talked about how the Beltway boys seem to think they DESERVE to be president — let alone do they seem to think they have to earn the right.

Personally — I think the Dean is “Nader now” — he’s the outsider who has stepped in and attacked the common democratic establishment (the senatorial dems running for President) and spoiled their chances of being the party’s nominee…
