Paine: Have You No Decency, Sir?

George Paine of Warblogging, in ranting about Bush’s speech two days ago calling for setting aside the Fourth Amendment, channels Joseph Welch, the attorney who famously asked Sentator Joseph McCarthy, “Have you no decency, sir?”: Exploiting September 11.

    I realize that what we have built America on is dissent but the claptrap I find on your site is byond belief. I think it was Ruskin that said “There is nothing so frightening as ignorance in action”.

    Your site is living proof. At least I find no vulgaar language. Welch’s comments to Senator McCarthy may well be applied to you and your website . Be the way, I distictly remember the event well. I ddoubt if many or any people on your staff are old enough to make that statement.
