					<description>You are right on target. Jim Gaperini has invented a completely new and original form of 3D image with photogaphs and animated .GIF.  Some time ago, making these images with 3D graphics, I dubbed this new type of 3D image after him, and call it "The Gasperini Wiggle".  He himself uses "wiggle" to describe the mode, but is apparently too modest to affix his name to his invention.

I have been calling it "The Gasperini Wiggle" in his honor for some years.

Let's all all do it for him and in  honor of his originality.

With other types of 3D I have made a number of "Gasperini Wiggles" using the virtual "camera" in 3D graphics programs as an equivalent of his 3D camera.

A recent one can be found here--a bit softer than Gasperini's photographic verson, but still clearly 3D and with his wiggle:
