The schoolteacher who lit out for Vegas with her 15-year-old student has been sentenced. Sad story. She got a longish prison sentence, which the judge suspended and converted into six months in jail (which is almost done, counting time served since her arrest) plus 5 years’ probation. So she’ll be back on the street in a month or so – or would be, except that when she gets out of jail in Nevada she’s probably going to be extradited to California, and tried again there. Good to see our criminal justice system is keeping on top of things, eh? I know I feel safer.

Oh yeah, because she’s such a monster…jbc, at least think when you type…she messed up…and I read the case…I think “kidnapping” is a bit too extreme a word, considering the fact at 15 years old a guy is perfectly capable of determining what to do with his dick, especially when propositioned…this is unlike most sexual harassment cases…she acted more like a 15-year old girl, not his teacher…so she has problems…but it doesn’t make her into a sexual predator you have to be afraid of…how many of us had a hot prof in high school we’d have liked to bone? how many of us would bring charges against that prof if it ever happened? think

I couldn’t tell you were being sarcastic until I re-read it. Whoever DOES think these teachers need to be punished is f*cked up. At that age, I would’ve done anything for a hot weekend away from home with a bombshell female teacher.

What’s sad about this is that the person who let this little boy down holds the position of being a role model in our community. Her students, as well as their parents trusted her. I disagree with your comment about the little boy controlling his dick. What little boy wouldn’t love to have sex with an older woman, or hell any female at the tender horney young age of 15?
They were both wrong, but she was the most wrong in all of this because she was the adult. She should have acted like one. Instead she let the desires of her flesh destroy her entire life.
Her judgement or shall I say lack of, cost her greatly and she will never be able to get her life back because now she’s a sex offender with no job. And no, I don’t think she’s a monster, I think she did the same thing you and I are both guilty of, she made a mistake.

Heh heh…If a schoolteacher was going to take me away in her car and get a hotel room, I think any 15 year would know what’s going to happen even before he goes into the car. The kid is to blame for going into the car in the first place. Then its the teacher for setting up the first date. Really now, who throws a cupcake?

There is a difference between boys and girls, I don’t give a rats @ss what the politically correct or women’s activists tell you. Male and females are DIFFERENT! If the sexes were switched around, I think it would have, and should have received a little more scrutiny and possibly, a heavier sentence.

I’m shocked that this story even got time in the press. Yes, the boy had a great time.. take it to the bank. Yes, if this had been a girl it would have been different.. but it wasn’t. The two situations are completely different.

The boy was willing, I’m sure. Unfortunately, the law is still the law and he was under age. Had this been a 34-year-old who met a 15-year-old on the *street* that would be one thing; this was someone who was supposed to be an authority figure and someone who educated herself to step into a position where she would be responsible for shaping young minds. She took advantage of her position. I do think they need to amend these laws though. If the kid was willing the kid was willing. This across the board under 18 is a crime rule is a bit extreme and these incidents should be looked at on a case by case basis. For the record, I know plenty of adults (18 and over) who aren’t mature enough to have sex, they just have the benefit of being an age society deems okay to do so.

I am a male high school teacher and girls have crushes on me. So far 58 of them. I have letters that they leave me. I don’t report them because I know it’s just natural and I’m polite and don’t want them to get in trouble. Students know what they are doing and when something happens both parties should be punished.

I am studying to be a teacher and I think that any teacher that has sex with a student, male or female needs to be punished. This teacher was given a very short sentence compared to the hundreds of male teachers that are prosecuted for having sex with female studnets. This society has a screwed up way of thinking about things. I hear so many people saying thing about how cool the boy was for hooking up with a hot female teacher, but the male teachers are perverts and need to be put in jail forever. Talk about a double standard. Everyone needs to wake up and smell the jail cell; if you have sex with a minor you need to go to jail, plain and simple…

Lets just say none of us have the right to comment, If she came onto me … As has been “cyphered” in the story, WOuld i of said yes to giving her some love? Of course i would of ..
And i wouldnt of pressec charges … By then again .. Thats U.S law system .. I think this 15 year old boy has some extream explaining to do as to why he didnt intervine on this account … I can understand the problem of age balance here … But they both choose to take part in sexually aimed activities … And they probally enjoyed it too …

I have to agree with Luke. On both parts.. I stumbled here by accident, though this case is of interest to me.. from the time you are all of 6 mnths old, you are old enough to register what and what does not feel good.. and boy did he know that “it” felt good.
He had a chance to object to the whole situation, as luke said why would he ? why would any male ?
on that note, why one earth would you take a 15 year old to vegas ?? he wouldnt even be able to buy her a drink !!

accidentally found this convo and have to have my two cents worth:
i am a teacher and i agree that this teacher got caught in a situation where she had power and she may have abused it. i also feel that as a student the boy has certain powers as well and i feel he abused them. the fact he didn’t intervene demonstrates his youth and immaturity in this matter… which is why its illegal for 15 yo to be sexually active. the classroom for people of his age is a hormone driven pit and it is difficult to handle adult or otherwise. we are human and driven by human desires…profession cannot override that although it attempts too…and how often is said profession, and scenario used in fantasies either privately or in the media… teacher student relationships are complex and sex unavoidably get thrown into the cocktail especially when dealing with adolescents…imagine trying to teach a room full of them algebra when all of them are thinking about what’s inyourbra…no easy task

I think women are given too much of a break. They will cry sexual harrassment one minute, but then they will cheat on their boyfriend or husband for some bull shit reason. It is a crying shame what women put us guys through. They claim that they want a man to be successful, i.e having a good job, nice car, educated and etc. Yet they go a screw someone that is a bad student, the kids can not even buy them a happy meal and they probably leave corn flakes in the bed. When I was younger I could not wait to become older, because I thought that the older guys had it all. Now I wish I was 14, because they seem to get all of the women. Whatever happened to women claiming they want emotional stimulation, it seems to me they want hard core sex. I see why some guys treat women wrong, because they do some stupid things.

I think folks are losing sight of the fact that this “authority figure” took a fifteen year old boy across state lines without his parents’ knowledge or permission, for the sole purpose of having sex with him. For four days his parents were out of their minds with worry, until authorities found the two in the Vegas hotel room. My youngest son is seventeen and I don’t care how hot his teacher is, or how powerful my son’s hormonal urges are….NO ONE is taking my kid out of school and across state lines for sex. It’s sick. I wish she’d gotten more jail time.
