Subject: Baby news...William Edward Callender was born at 6:49 a.m. today (Tuesday). 7 lbs., 14 oz.
In medical terms the labor was pretty much routine; it lasted about 6 hours and both mother and child came out of it in perfect health. On a more personal note, the view from the birthing center windows was spectacular; William's arrival coincided with one of the most glorious sunrises I've ever seen.
